Dr Karthik Senthilvel

Dr Karthik Senthilvel is a highly qualified medical professional with extensive experience in fetal medicine and clinical genetics. He completed his MBBS from SRM University, Chennai, in 2012 and then pursued a 6-month sonology course from K.A.P. Viswanathan Government Medical College, Trichy, in 2012. After practising as a Sonologist for two years, he obtained an MD in Radiology from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka, in 2017.
Dr Karthik Senthilvel has completed two fellowships in addition to his other educational qualifications. He pursued a Fellowship in Advanced Obstetric Ultrasound and Fetal Echo from Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi, where he got trained in fetal interventions under Dr Vivek Krishnan, and a Fellowship in Clinical Genetics from the prestigious Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences, Hyderabad under Dr Prajnya Ranganath and Dr Shagun Aggarwal.
He also took a one-year course, i.e., “Fetal Pathology: diagnosis and perinatal management,” from Barcelona fetal medicine foundation and passed in August 2019 with an 81 percent distinction.
Dr Karthik Senthilvel has also completed various certified special training courses in fetal medicine, including 3D in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Fetal Aneuploidy Detection, and Advanced Fetal Echo. He is also a Fetal Medicine Foundation accredited radiologist for NT, NB, Preeclampsia, Fetal Abnormalities, Cervical Assessment, and Doppler Ultrasound. We are proud and happy to share that his name has been on the Official FMF (UK) website as an NT specialist in India since 2018.
In 2019, he received his training in fertility ultrasound from Dr Sonal Panchal, Nagori Institute, Ahmedabad. In 2022, he received hands-on training in fetal neuro sonography from Prof. Gustavo Malinger and attended the Advances in Fetal Medicine Course by Fetal Medicine Foundation (FMF), London.
Dr Karthik Senthilvel has also made some significant academic achievements throughout his career. He has written a chapter for the forthcoming IRIA Radiology Textbook on Gravid Cervix, has been a reviewer for the Journal of Fetal Medicine since 2021, and contributed to the ICRI guidelines on the first-trimester, second-trimester anomaly scan, and the third-trimester Doppler. He is also the Section Editor (YuWa) for the Journal of Fetal Radiology since 2021. In 2020, he received the YUWA Faculty Appreciation Award from the IRIA. He has been a speaker at various state and national conferences. He is also the examiner for the National ICRI Fetal Radiology fellowship.
Dr. B. Roopadarshini
Medical Geneticist
Dr. B. Roopadarshini is a distinguished Medical Geneticist and Obstetrician-Gynaecologist based in Hyderabad, India. Fluent in English, Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi, she offers comprehensive care in both specialties. She completed her MBBS from Government Tirunelveli Medical College in 2017, followed by a DNB in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from Rajiv Gandhi Women and Children Hospital, Pondicherry, and an MS from Osmania Medical College, Hyderabad. In April 2025, she earned her DrNB in Medical Genetics from Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS), Hyderabad. She is also a Credentialed Indian Menopause Practitioner (CIMP) certified by the Indian Menopause Society.
Dr. Roopadarshini specializes in managing genetic disorders such as metabolic diseases, syndromes, congenital malformations, hereditary cancer syndromes, and recurrent pregnancy loss. Her expertise includes prenatal invasive testing, carrier screening for consanguineous couples, pre-conceptional counseling, and perinatal pathology. As an Obstetrician, she provides comprehensive prenatal care, performs vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and instrumental deliveries, and manages obstetric and gynecological emergencies.
